Jim Miller began to educate himself about the prevalence and resulting trauma of child sex trafficking about ten years ago. As a father of three girls, the issue quickly became close to his heart. He began volunteering for organizations that serve victims affected by this atrocity, serving as a guest speaker and educating the community about the issue. As a founding member of our Board of Directors, you can find him at community events representing CeCe’s Hope Center, advocating for resources and supporting our mission by raising awareness about the impact sex trafficking has on our community. Jim loves that CeCe’s Hope Center...
serves as a safety net for women who have few options for support and is able to uniquely tailor combinations of services and programs to meet their varied personal needs. He strives to connect like-minded individuals and organizations to work together for our common goal. “I want to see us continue to evolve and increase our ability to mentor, support and provide services and assistance to these young women and to show them there is hope and a better life.” If you know of an organization that might welcome a speaker like Jim at your next meeting or event, contact us at and let us know!
Thank you to everyone that came out to support CeCe’s Center’s Open House on November 20th. Nearly 50 people gathered to share and celebrate our mission. We are especially grateful for the contributions of Floridino’s Restaurant and Baked Confessions. The pizza muffins, cookies, and cupcakes brought the event over the top!

Thank you so much for your part in helping a young woman on her path towards independence.
One of our greatest lessons came to life just before Thanksgiving. Some of our clients gathered together, with our Case Manager, to serve food to the homeless. Not one of these girls had ever been in a position to give back and this experience brought clarity to their opportunities and their futures. Their personal journey has taken on a special glimmer since that day of service and joy. We welcome opportunities to engage our clients in the community to learn more about themselves and the world around them. We have learned that even small gestures of service to others are effective in bringing out the strength and aspiration in the women we serve.
It is critical that each young woman has a safe place to call home. Addressing this is one of the first steps each client will take if she does not have a place to call home when we meet her. Regular check-ins from our Case Manager and a dedicated mentor both provide emotional support and guidance as she goes through the process and when she needs it the most. We also provide basic resources. Like…fuzzy socks! …an outfit that makes her feel confident during an intimidating first job interview; reliable transportation so she knows she will get to work on time. Each of our services, connections, and resources makes a difference during the holidays and each day we have the chance to carry out our mission. It’s not difficult to imagine the conflicted feelings that one of our clients might have about the holidays. On one hand, the festive atmosphere that can be found nearly anywhere brings a smile to your face. On the other hand, if you don’t have a family that you can or want to spend time with and you are struggling to get through each day with your head on straight; all that cheer can really bring you down. Some of our clients have wonderful, positive memories of Christmases past. Others have never had a Christmas tree and holiday memories are clouded by loss and regret. Having our call line open and our Case Manager and mentors on hand during the holidays is just one more area in which our supporters make a difference TODAY…as she continues down a path towards hope and success.
